It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sina Arian, a student in our Bachelor of Mental Health and Addictions program.
Sina was enrolled in his third semester of the program. Sina stood out not only for his kindness, humour and compassion for his fellow students, but also for the authenticity he brought to every discussion in and out of the classroom. His distinct fashion sense and love of jewelry were expressions of his vibrant identity, and his music, which Sina shared generously with classmates, was a powerful reflection of his creativity and personality.
Please join me in offering condolences to the Arian family, and to those who knew Sina.
A memorial service will be held taking place on Friday, Sept. 26 for those looking to pay their respects.
Seneca will be lowering its flags to half-mast from sunrise until sunset on Wednesday, Sept. 24 to honour Sina.
