Seneca Illustration graduate Vivi Partridge is making waves with their debut graphic novel, Quiet Crossings. The book was recently featured on CBC’s list of 22 Canadian books for tweens and teens to read this fall.

Quiet Crossings follows Selena, a teen who lands a job at a mysterious countryside inn after a car crash. In exchange for room and board, she helps run the inn whose guests receive a one-way ferry ride to the unknown. As each visitor vanishes, Selena begins to question the true nature of the place.

Partridge, a queer artist and writer based in Toronto, graduated from Seneca’s Illustration program and has since exhibited work across southern Ontario and at comic conventions. Her first graphic novel blends eerie storytelling with emotional depth, offering a unique take on grief, identity and transformation.

Seneca is proud to celebrate Partridge’s creative success and growing recognition in Canada’s literary scene. Quiet Crossings is out Tuesday, Oct. 28.
