Kicking off the new year and in time for the start of the Winter 2026 Term, Learn@Seneca will gain a number of visual changes and improvements on Friday. Jan. 2.

If you are a new student at Seneca Polytechnic, we believe you will have a great experience with Learn@Seneca from Day 1; if you are a returning student, then some of those changes and improvements will be immediately noticeable.

What’s changing?

The changes and improvements to the platform’s navigation and overall user experience include:

  • A cleaner layout with less clutter, making it easier for you to find what you need
  • Main tabs that are easier to access
  • Faster page-loading times
  • Course content that’s easier to view, e.g., key panels such as Announcements, Calendar and Discussions opening in full-screen mode
  • Enhanced navigation, e.g., a Home button replacing the previous “X” that returns you to your landing page
  • A new Course Switcher feature that allows you to jump between courses more quickly

What do you need to do?

Whether you are a new or returning student, there is nothing you need to do to receive the update and experience the improved Learn@Seneca, as the changes will be implemented by Blackboard on Friday, Jan. 2.
