The SSF club Books Beyond Bars will be hosting a special Q&A session with Canadian Senator Kim Pate on Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.. The event will give attendees an opportunity to engage directly with one of Canada’s most respected advocates for justice reform.

Senator Pate has spent more than 45 years working within and around Canada’s legal and penal systems. Her career has focused on supporting marginalized, victimized, criminalized and institutionalized people, particularly imprisoned youth, men and women.

This event will take place in Lower K (S1209). Participants are invited to join the conversation, learn from Senator Pate’s decades of advocacy experience and explore pressing issues related to incarceration in Canada. Everyone is welcome.
