Several of our students have received new recognition from the Canadian Fire Safety Association (CFSA).

Of the 10 financial awards and scholarships presented by the CFSA at its annual conference earlier this month, eight were earned by Seneca students from either our Fire Protection Engineering Technician or our Fire Protection Engineering Technology programs:

  • Cindy Aguirre received the CFSA The Building Reports Canada Award

  • Jacob Beukeveld received the CFSA Matteo Gilfillan & Associates Inc. Award

  • Francis Britto received the CFSA Founders Award for Leadership & Excellence

  • Anita Daley received the CFSA Jensen Hughes Consulting Canada Award

  • Heather Eyman received the CFSA LRI Engineering Inc. Award

  • Travis Hook received the CFSA Mircom Group Award

  • MarcEdwin Soriano received the CFSA Firetronics 2000 Inc. Fire Safety Award In Memory of Rich Morris

  • Taylor Stoehr received the CFSA FCS Fire Consulting Services Ltd. Award

These outstanding achievements underscore the strength, quality and reputation of our fire protection programs.

Further reflecting our national leadership and influence within the fire protection community, nine of the 15 members newly elected to the CFSA’s Board of Directors are Seneca graduates
