Seneca will host FIFA World Cup screenings across all campuses this summer. From June 9 to July 19, students can watch live matches and attend events at King, Newnham and Seneca@York campuses.

Daily screenings will take place at:

  • King Campus: Alumni Atrium, Northern Hive (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • Newnham Campus: All common areas, Senecentre (9 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
  • Seneca@York: Cafeteria, The Hive (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)

A series of special events will be held by SSF and Athletics & Recreation at the Senecentre at Newnham:

  • June 9 – FIFA Bingo 🎰
    12 p.m. (while supplies last) | FIFA-themed bingo with giveaways

  • June 11 – FIFA Opening Ceremony 🎦
    2 p.m. | Match viewing, raffles, popcorn/snacks and FIFA activations

  • July 9 to 11 – FIFA Quarter-finals
    4 p.m. | Viewing with light snacks

  • July 14 and 15 – FIFA Semi-finals
    3 p.m. | Viewing with light snacks

  • July 19 – FIFA Finals πŸ₯‡
    3 p.m. | Final viewing and prize giveaways

Additional programming across campuses includes tournaments, fitness challenges, beginner soccer clinics and interactive events such as human foosball, step challenges and fantasy brackets. Find more information here.
