City of Toronto representatives visited Newnham Campus on Aug. 20 to see new sustainable landscaping work funded through Greening Partnership Grant investments.

Seneca has received the grant four times, most recently to support tree-planting and naturalization activities at Newnham Campus this summer.

Since 2020, Greening Partnership Grant funding has supported the planting of hundreds of trees and more than 1,000 shrubs at Newnham Campus, and the revitalization of the courtyard at Seneca@York Campus.

This work is a great example of sustainability in action, with Seneca and the city working together to build more resilient and sustainable communities.

During their visit, the city representatives saw the trees planted this summer and a newly-installed plaque recognizing the value of this partnership in naturalizing our campuses.
