Seneca and the Seneca Student Federation co-hosted our virtual Remembrance Day ceremony today to honour those who have fallen in service and those who continue to serve. President David Agnew thanked the members of the Canadian military for their tireless service, including their role during the pandemic.

President Agnew also noted that this Remembrance Day marks the 100th anniversary of the poppy being adopted as the flower of remembrance in Canada.

During Seneca's Remembrance Day ceremony, our community observed two minutes of silence and heard readings of In Flanders Fields and An Honoured Son, along with personal recollections from members of the Royal Canadian Air Force Pilot Training Program.

Han Dong, MP, Don Valley North, Ritik Sharma, President, Seneca Student Federation, Janice Hagan, President, OPSEU Local 561, and Frank Yee, President, OPSEU Local 560, laid wreaths at the cenotaph at Newnham Campus.
