We are #SenecaProud of two Environmental Landscape Management diploma program students who have received WWF-Canada Go Wild Grants for their sustainable project ideas.

Daniel Mack’s forest garden project will plant 80 native plants at King Campus. Not only will this project contribute to the area’s biodiversity by providing food for wildlife and supporting the restoration of plants native to the region, it will also help provide food that can be harvested by students and donated to local food banks.

Lisa Vanin’s amphibian and reptile habitat project will help conserve, restore and enhance ecosystems at King Campus, while educating the Seneca community about the needs of amphibian and reptile habitats. A collection of habitat-enhancing structures will be developed by students, which will include basking and crossing sites.
