RE: Union for academic employees announces a March 18 strike deadline

Today, the union representing full-time and partial-load professors, librarians and counsellors at Ontario’s 24 public colleges announced a strike deadline of Friday, March 18. At that time, these employees will withdraw their services if no settlement is reached on a new collective agreement.

While this is disappointing news for our students and employees, we all share the hope that both sides will continue to pursue a reasonable agreement and a walkout can be avoided.
