TO: All students and employees FROM: David Agnew, PresidentRE: Vaccination policy and protocols
Seneca has kept our campuses and our community as safe as possible during the pandemic through our leadership in vaccination policy and protocols.
While government is loosening COVID-19-related restrictions, the pandemic is not over. The virus continues to spread in the community and represents a serious health risk, most acutely to the unvaccinated, elderly and immunocompromised.
Vaccines are the best and most effective weapon against the virus and will continue to be the foundation of Seneca’s approach to COVID-19.
The following vaccination policy and protocols will be in effect for the May to August 2022 Term.
May 2022 Term Vaccination Policy
Seneca’s vaccination policy continues to be in effect. Students coming on campus and all employees are required to be fully vaccinated. Contractors and visitors must also be fully vaccinated to come on campus.
While not part of the official definition of fully vaccinated, booster shots improve protection against the virus and reduce the chance of serious illness. We encourage anyone eligible to get a booster.
Knowing that everyone on campus is fully vaccinated allows us to begin to relax some of our restrictions while supporting a safe teaching, learning and working environment for students and employees.
May 2022 Term COVID-19 Protocols
Effective May 1, 2022:
The vaccination policy remains in effect until further notice. When planning for the September 2022 Term, students, contractors and visitors coming on campus, and all employees, should assume they will be required to be fully vaccinated.
The virus continues to evolve, and these protocols may need to change depending on scientific and medical advice.
Thank you for helping keep the Seneca community, and all of our communities, safe.
