Seneca students, employees and community members gathered at Nathan Phillips Square on Sunday, April 10 to honour Kartik Vasudev, a first-semester Marketing Management student, who was murdered on Thursday, April 7.

The event was hosted by Seneca Student Federation President Ritik Sharma and included remarks by Seneca President David Agnew, Apoorva Srivastava, India’s Consul General in Toronto, Thornhill MP Melissa Lantsman, and Kartik’s fellow students, family and friends. A similar vigil was held in Kartik’s hometown in India.

To honour Kartik’s memory, flags at Seneca’s campuses will fly at half-mast on Monday, April 11.
