Aviation industry panel and networking event a success | MyNews | Seneca Students

Seneca Alumni and Seneca Works co-hosted an in-person Aviation Panel and Networking event on Feb. 15 at Newnham Campus. The event was a success with approximately 60 students from the Aviation Safety and Aviation Operations programs in attendance.

The event included a panel of Seneca alumni that talked about their time at Seneca and career journeys and shared tips on how to succeed in the workforce. Alumni included Andrew Nayaaquino from Ornge, Meagan Extross from NAV Canada, Luxmanan Lankaratnam from Air Canada and Nikita Ageev from Menzies Aviation Fuelling.

Students were encouraged to bring their resumés for a networking opportunity — connecting them with representatives from several companies in the industry including Air Canada Rouge, Sunwing Airlines, NovaJet Aviation Group and Voyageur Aviation Corp. Employers helped students gain a better understanding of hiring practices and shared advice on how to market themselves and build their personal networks.
