Seneca is offering students the opportunity to earn a variety of globally recognized industry certificates as part of their academic curriculum. These certifications validate students' skills and knowledge in key areas of Industry 4.0 beyond mechatronics, including the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and robotic automation.

What are the certificates and how to obtain them?

EMA students must take a specific course and either achieve a minimum overall mark or pass the comprehensive exam.

1. Basic of Automation
   • Achieve a minimum overall mark of 60% in Control Systems Fundamentals (CSF453)
2. Totally Integrated Automation
   • Achieve a minimum overall mark of 60% in Totally Integrated Automation (TIA555)
3. IIoT – Industrial Internet of Things
   • Successfully complete Industrial Internet of Things (IOT555)
4. Robot Programming I
   • Achieve a minimum overall mark of 60% in Robotics Basics (ROB555)
5. Robot Applications
   • Achieve a minimum overall mark of 60% in Robotic Applications (ROB655)
6. Azure – Cloud basics
   • Successfully complete Cloud and Manufacturing Data Analytics (CMA) and achieve a minimum mark of 70% in the Final exam (Azure Cloud certificate exam from Microsoft)
7. Eplan CAD fundamentals
   • Successfully complete Electrical Designs and Drawings (CAD355) and pass the Eplan Certified Student (ECS) exam.
