What are Work Intergrated Learning (WIL) accommodations?
Seneca College is committed to equal academic opportunities for students with disabilities through the provision of accommodations both in the academic environment, and if requested, through the provision of accommodations in extended learning environments that include placements/co-ops/work integrated learning (WIL) environments through faculty led programs or through SenecaWorks.
How are WIL Accommodations determined?
WIL Accommodations do not lessen the rigor or standard outlined in the WIL program. Students with disabilities are expected to achieve the core competencies of their program areas as well as their placement learning requirements. If students so choose to be accommodated in the work integrated learning environments, they will be provided with appropriate and reasonable accommodations, in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, AODA and Federal accessibility legislation.
If you required WIL accommodations, contact your assigned Accessibility Counsellor or our front desk to arrange an appointment.
