Renewable Degree Scholarships | Awards, Scholarships and Bursaries | Seneca Students

Renewable degree scholarships are open to students starting in the fall, winter and summer terms.

• For the Fall term the application opens July 15
• For the Winter term the application opens Dec. 1
• For the Summer term the application opens May 1

To apply for the scholarship:

1. Read the instructions on How to apply for awards page.
2. Complete the online financial aid application on Student Home.

The application deadline is the 10th day of classes in the term for which you are applying.  After the deadline to drop classes, we will assess your application to ensure you meet the awards criteria.

Students in degree programs

Full-time students starting in any of Seneca’s full-time degree programs can qualify for a renewable scholarship for one credential based on their Grade 12 grades or grades from another postsecondary program.

Grade requirements

To qualify for the scholarship, you must maintain the following GPA. The amount awarded each term is available below.

Up to a total of 4 yearly scholarships for the 4 year program and 3 yearly scholarships for the 3 year program for based on satisfactory maintenance of yearly grades:

• 70% or 3.0 GPA+ - $2,000 ($500 per year)
• 75% or 3.3 GPA+ - $3,000 ($750 per year)
• 80% or 3.6 GPA+ - $4,000 ($1,000 per year)

The renewable scholarship is based on grades in continuing years of the student's program of study and the student maintaining full-time status.
