WTS Toronto Indigenous Scholarship

Deadline: applications are accepted year-round

Eligibility:

• Is registered full-time at a post-secondary institution in the Toronto and Greater Hamilton Area and the Kitchener/Waterloo/Guelph area.  See full list of eligible institutions below.
• Is pursuing a degree which will lead to a career focused on transportation, such as: architecture, engineering (all disciplines), mathematics, geography, political science, policy, economics, finance, planning, environmental science, communications, and more. (programs not listed may qualify if the student can provide an explanation of how their studies will lead to a career in transportation).
• Has a demonstrable interest in promoting the advancement of gender diversity within the transportation industry.
• Demonstrates strong academic performance
• Past WTS Toronto Area Chapter Scholarship award recipients are not eligible for subsequent awards.
• In addition to the above requirements for regular scholarships, proof of ancestry for postsecondary school students who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit). Indigenous Scholarships are open nationally to any full-time student registered in a Canadian post-secondary institution.

Orvil L. Davie Memorial Fund

Value: $1000
Deadline: March 15 and November 30

The purpose of the fund is to assist students in completing their education for a career in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigerating industry (HVACR) and to assist in maintaining a higher caliber of HVACR industry personnel. The fund provides bursaries to persons who require financial assistance in completing training in an accepted course directly related to the HVACR industry. Applicants for the bursaries may come from the community or vocational college systems, or through industry sources such as the provincial apprenticeship programs.

CANASA Scholarship

Value: $2500

The Canadian Security Association (CANASA) proudly offers a scholarship program to support the educational goals of the children of Canada's dedicated first responders. We recognize and deeply appreciate the invaluable service you provide to our communities, and we want to help your families achieve their academic aspirations.

We are pleased to announce the CANASA Scholarship Program for 2025. Six (6) scholarships, valued at $2,500 each, will be awarded. Four (4) scholarships are available for the children of first responders like you.

Pink Pearl Scholarship

Value: $1000

Deadline: March 25, 2025

Your time spent as a student isn’t easy. Whether you experience stress over exams, or money, there can be plenty on your plate. Pink Pearl would like to help alleviate your stresses by granting a $1,000 scholarship to a Canadian women facing cancer. Our organization considers Canadians who self-identify as female that are involved in their community; are/will be attending a post-secondary institution; and have been diagnosed with cancer between the ages of 18 and 40.

Telus Student Bursary

Value: $3000

Deadline: Application opens March 5 for a maximum of two weeks or until 700 applications are received.

Who is eligible to apply:

• Youth between the ages of 17 and 29 in financial need
• Accepted into, or attending, a first undergraduate degree or diploma program at a college, university or polytechnic institute in Canada
• Canadian citizen, permanent resident or Protected Person
• Students committed to delivering a social impact initiative during the course of their studies that will have a positive social or environmental impact in their community

Future Generations Foundation

Applications Open: April 11 and close June 6

The FG Foundation provides financial support through three distinct channels: Organizations, Individuals, and the Continuing Their Journey Program. Our goal is to help First Nations and communities address the impacts of the Indian residential school system. We support initiatives like cultural preservation, education, and healing, with tailored eligibility criteria, grant limits, and timelines to meet the diverse needs of First Nations.

Investintech - CAJ Journalism Scholarship 

Value:

• 1,000.00 CAD
• Free one-year membership with the CAJ
• One free pass to the CAJ National Annual Conference in Calgary from May 30 –31, 2025

Deadline: April 11, 2025

This scholarship will go to one Canadian student who shows an interest and understanding of data journalism tools and techniques before they even enter the newsroom professionally. We want to get Canadian and journalism students, like you, to really think about the data you use in your stories.

To ensure this scholarship falls in line with professional and journalistic guidelines, we’ve partnered with the Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ). The CAJ is a notable journalism organization that provides Canadian journalists with support, mentorship, community, and resources across the country.
