Friends of the Mississauga Library System is now accepting applications for our Jim Wilde Library Education Award. These three awards of $2,500 each are for Mississauga students who are entering their full time first year in a university program in Library and Information Science, a Library and Information Technician program at a community college, or an online Library and Information program.

The CEEA Energy Industry Award was established by the Canadian Energy Executive Association (CEEA), a not-for-profit organization operating in the Canadian energy industry. Through business and social events, and national engagement programs, CEEA works to bring together leaders, Indigenous stakeholders, policymakers, and academia to discuss important topics affecting the Canadian energy industry and its future. This award was established to enable and encourage some of the brightest students to choose a career in the energy industry.

The winner of the Russell Alexander Law Scholarship will receive up to $2,000 directly toward the tuition for their post-secondary education, in addition to a $500 bonus to help cover the cost of school supplies of their choice, such as technology, textbooks, notebooks, etc.
Applicant Criteria
The Russell Alexander Law Scholarship is open to high school, college, and university students in Canada. Students must have an average of 80% or higher and an interest in studying and joining the legal industry.

The purpose of the fund is to assist students in completing their education for a career in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigerating industry (HVACR) and to assist in maintaining a higher caliber of HVACR industry personnel. The fund provides bursaries to persons who require financial assistance in completing training in an accepted course directly related to the HVACR industry. Applicants for the bursaries may come from the community or vocational college systems, or through industry sources such as the provincial apprenticeship programs.

The FG Foundation provides financial support through three distinct channels: Organizations, Individuals, and the Continuing Their Journey Program. Our goal is to help First Nations and communities address the impacts of the Indian residential school system. We support initiatives like cultural preservation, education, and healing, with tailored eligibility criteria, grant limits, and timelines to meet the diverse needs of First Nations.
