Accessing the Former Student Portal | IT Services | Seneca Students

About

• The Former Student Portal allows students with disabled accounts to retrieve tax documents and other important information.

 Step 1   Navigate to the Former Student Portal

 Step 2  Click Sign Up Now

 Step 3  Verify Your E-mail Address

• Enter the personal e-mail address on file with Seneca.
• Click Send verification code.
  
  

 Step 4  Check Your E-mail

• Copy the verification code from the e-mail that you received.
  
  
• Navigate back to the website and paste the code in the box. Click Verify code.
  
  
• If the code does not work, click Send new code to try again.
  
  

 Step 5  Click Continue.

 Step 6  Set Up Your Password

• If your e-mail is found in the system, you will be prompted to choose a password.
• Your password must be 8-16 characters long and include at least three of the following:
  
  • Lowercase letters (a-z)
  • Uppercase letters (A-Z)
  • Numbers (0-9)
  • Symbols (@#!$%^&*{ } \ : ? ` ~ "( ) ; . )
• Click Create to save your password

Note: If your e-mail is already registered, you will be asked to return to the login page to sign in or reset your password.

 Step 7  Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

• You will see a QR code to scan for extra security.
• Use an authentication app like Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or any similar app.
• Open your app and scan the QR code.
  
  
• Click Continue
• Enter the 6-digit code from the app.
  
  
• Click Verify

 Step 8  Verify Your Personal Information

• Enter your last name and date of birth.
• Choose to verify your identity using either your student number or student e-mail.
• Check the I'm not a robot check box.
  
  
• Click Continue.

Troubleshooting

• Information could not be validated or user already exists.
• E-mail address is not linked to a former student.
• E-mail is already registered, please log in with your password.
