Fahimeh Gorzin-Success story-EFS Cohort 3
When Fahimeh Gorzin immigrated to Canada from Tehran, Iran in 2022, she was determined to continue building her career in the financial industry. Seeking guidance, she turned to her friend Arsalan, who was also pursuing a similar path. Arsalan highly recommended the Professional Excellence in Financial Services (EFS) Bridging program at Seneca Polytechnic, which had successfully helped her secure a job in a bank.
Impressed by the program's emphasis on facilitating quick entry into the workforce, Ms. Gorzin decided to enroll in the EFS program. With more than 10 years of banking experience under her belt, she was able to further enhance her expertise through a diverse range of subjects, including investment funds, risk management and industry analysis.
Ms. Gorzin actively engaged in networking activities and took advantage of job shadowing opportunities provided by the program. These initiatives enabled her to connect with influential industry experts and professionals working in well-established banks. The EFS program staff also provided substantial support, boosting Fahimeh's confidence throughout her journey. Before she knew it, she had secured her first professional job in the country.
