What are the eligibility requirements for full-time OSAP?

You can visit the OSAP website for all full-time eligibility requirements.

You need to have a minimum 60 per cent of your term’s full course load (40 per cent if you have a confirmed permanent disability) to be eligible for full‐time OSAP. Apply for part‐time OSAP if your term course load is between 20 and 59 per cent. Daytime affiliated students should log into Student Home to see the level they are in for their term. Divide the courses you are taking by the required courses. Example: if you are taking four out of six required courses you would have a 66 per cent course load.

If you are retaking a course(s) for which you have already achieved a credit, please contact theservicehub@senecacollege.ca to check if the course(s) are eligible for funding.

If you are taking courses that are compressed or do not run the full term, please contact theservicehub@senecacollege.ca as this may impact your eligibility for full-time or part-time OSAP.

If you are a Continuing Education affiliated student in an OSAP eligible program, your term course load will be generally out of five with some exceptions. Please refer to your part-time studies program website under OSAP funding for guidance. Divide the courses you are taking by the required courses. Example: if you are taking three out of five required courses you would have a 60 per cent course load.

Note: You must maintain your course load throughout the term of your OSAP study period.
