    OSAP restrictions can occur as a result of one of the following reasons:

    • defaulted on a previous loan
    • misrepresentation
    • fraud
    • a second OSAP overpayment
    • an academic progress restriction
    • Debt Reduction in Repayment (DRR)
    • Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP) Stage 2
    • Repayment Assistance Plan for Persons with Permanent Disabilities (RAP-PD)
    • significant income variances
    • breach of contract

    You may be eligible for OSAP once a restriction is cleared.

    If you require financial support, you can still apply for scholarships, awards and bursaries through Seneca via Student Home. Be aware that the amount of funding is lower than is typically given by OSAP.
