Part-Time Canada Student Loans | OSAP | Seneca Students

If you are a part-time student, you are only eligible for the Canada Student Loans. Course load must be between 20% to 59% in an OSAP approved program. For more information, visit the OSAP website.


How to apply

If you are a new user:

1. Register for an account.
2. Complete and submit the application online.
3. Print, sign and upload the requested documents. For example, consents, declarations and signature pages.
4. Follow the instructions indicated to complete the Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA).

If you are a returning user:

1. Log into your OSAP account using your OAN and account password.
2. Complete and submit the application online.

If requested, upload any required documents and follow the MSFAA instructions indicated. 

Additional supporting documentation

The Ministry of Colleges and Universities may request you to provide additional supporting documentation, including but not limited to:

• Record of Landing
• Permanent Resident Card
• Proof of Income
• Marriage Certificate
• Separation Agreement
• Divorce Certificate
• Federal Government Child Tax Benefit
• Birth Certificates of Children
• An affidavit detailing the custody arrangement of your child(ren)
• Proof of Residence History
• Academic transcript
