Missed Days | School of ECE Field Placement | Seneca Students

Seneca recognizes that students may, on occasion, become ill or need to be absent from field placement. All missed days must be made up to meet the required field placement hours each semester. The Field Placement Coordinator, student and Field Mentor, will discuss and arrange when students are to make up any missed hours. Field placement is central to the learning experience and students benefit greatly from attending. 

All plans to make up missed time must be approved by the Field Mentor and Field Placement Coordinator and communicated in writing. Students must ensure that their VSC is valid during make up days after Week #13. Students must connect with their Field Placement Coordinator for further support.

Important Note: Students may not make up missed field placement hours/days during scheduled in-person or virtual classes. Attendance during scheduled class times will not be acceptable and will not be counted towards placement hours.
