This Fall 2024, you will hear from the following three outstanding alumni panelists:

Roberto Mena

Operations Manager, Innovative Chemical Products Group

Chemical Engineering Technology, 2019

Roberto Mena is a Seneca Chemical Engineering alumnus, manufacturing specialist, and now technology entrepreneur based in Toronto since 2016. With extensive experience in operations management and a passion for innovative solutions, Roberto has transitioned from manufacturing to leading advancements in AI-driven retail technology.

Annie Mburu

Manager - Technology Risk and Compliance, Deloitte

Honours Bachelor of Commerce – Accounting and Finance, 2016

Annie Mburu started off her career as a statistician in Uganda and Nairobi prior to moving  to Canada. After graduating from her second degree in Accounting and Finance, Annie had a privilege of working for top financial institutions in Canada and held several positions in Fund Accounting, Financial reporting (CIBC Mellon), Auditing, Audit  quality and Risk  management, System of Quality Management (KPMG), and currently works as a Manager, Technology Risk and Compliance at Deloitte. In addition to her corporate endeavors, Annie possesses a keen entrepreneurial spirit, leading her to found MAK Empire, an immigration consultancy firm aimed at providing comprehensive services to individuals and families navigating the complexities of immigration processes. Leveraging her expertise in risk assessment and attention to detail, she has built MAK Empire into a trusted resource, offering tailored solutions and guidance to clients worldwide.

Lika Tan

Senior Social Media Specialist, Samsung Electronics

Liberal Arts University Transfer, 2023

Lika moved from Cambodia to Canada 3 years ago and studied the Liberal Arts University Transfer Diploma program at Seneca College. Shortly after graduation, she worked at an ed-tech startup as a part-time content creator, eventually leading to her profound love for social media marketing. She's now a Senior Social Media Specialist at Samsung Canada, leading the content strategy for their Instagram and TikTok. In her free time, she can be found on the soccer field, the volleyball court or on her balcony reading another random book she picked up from the bookstore down the street.
