Thursday, March 20 | 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
In this exciting visit to the world famous McMichael Canadian Art Collection, students will explore and learn about Indigenous art in a guided tour of the Stories from Canada Gallery, followed by a hands-on printmaking workshop inspired by Métis artist Christi Belcourt. Through discussions on land and water as sacred elements, students engage with themes of environmental stewardship. Using innovative printmaking techniques and natural inks, they create meaningful artworks, with the option to return their final piece to Mother Earth as a symbolic gesture. #LandIsSacred #WaterIsLifePlease bring a packed lunch and water as lunch will not be provided and there are few dining options at the gallery.
Round trip bus transportation will be provided. We will depart from Newnham Campus at 12pm and return to Newnham Campus at 5pm.
