It’s true!
Program review is how Seneca ensures what you’re learning is current, relevant, and aligned with industry expectations and academic standards.
These occur every 5 to 7 years and provide program teams with the opportunity to conduct a thorough review of the curriculum and overall program health. Using multiple sources of data, the program review team evaluates what’s working well and where improvements are needed. This work leads to the creation of a Recommended Action Plan (RAP) that guides future program changes.
These happen every year and serve as regular check-ins on curriculum and program health. They help program areas track trends over time, follow up on previous RAP items, and identify new opportunities for improvement.
If you’re in a program going through Summative Review, you may be invited to take part in a survey and/or focus group.
Your participation is:• Voluntary• Confidential• Reported only in aggregate (no individual responses are shared)
Your feedback is essential and plays a direct role in shaping program enhancements.
Even the review process gets reviewed!
Seneca’s Academic Program Review and Modification Policy is evaluated every five years, and it’s up for review this year. Faculty, staff, and members of the Student Quality Assurance Council (SQAC) will all have an opportunity to provide feedback on the policy and its procedures.
