Are there specific mental health and well-being supports for Indigenous students?
Yes. Seneca is committed to providing culturally safe and affirming care. Indigenous students can access holistic, culturally responsive support directly through First Peoples@Seneca. Our 1:1 Counselling Supports also offer Indigenous Mental Wellness Services which students can access through our Counselling Intake Form. In addition to campus resources, we can connect you with specialized community supports, including:
Anishnawbe Health Toronto: For access to traditional healers, elders, and Indigenous health professionals.
Hope for Wellness Helpline: Available 24/7 for immediate, culturally competent counselling and crisis intervention for all Indigenous peoples across Canada at 1.855.242.3310 or via online chat at hopeforwellness.ca.
