The School of English & Liberal Studies (SELS) invites you to book a SEAT!

 

SELS Experiential Academic Travel (SEAT) is a collection of General Education and Liberal Studies courses with a focus on combining academic rigour and contemporary curriculum with immersive, experiential travel within Canada. Each SEAT course promotes critical thinking, communications skills and citizenship that highlight the diversity and complexity of the world we live in.

Whether your travel is in one of Canada's vibrant cities or natural settings, you are sure to deepen and enhance your learning through this experiential opportunity.

 

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be enrolled in a full-time academic program at Seneca

  • You must require either a General Education or Liberal Studies course credit as part of your program
  • You must attend a mandatory, in-person orientation class at Newnham Campus in Week 1 of classes

  • You must be available to travel during the designated dates

Fees and Funding

  • Regular tuition is payable to Seneca

  • Tuition does not include the applicable fees for travel and experiential learning activities, which can vary depending on the destination and accommodations

  • Fees must be paid after receiving and accepting the Letter of Offer

  • If cancellation of travel occurs due to unforeseen circumstances, any payments made by the participants will be refunded, and any disbursed grants or funds will be withdrawn
