How can I sign up as a passenger through Seneca Rideshare? | Transportation | Seneca Students

Seneca offers a rideshare app to help staff and students explore options for sustainable travel.  Where the carpool program helps you find people who have the same schedule as you throughout the term, rideshare can be done for as little as one ride.

Accepting a ride from a rideshare provider is not free.  You will be billed a small amount to help cover the driver's costs.  The amount is the Canada Revenue Agency's reasonable per-kilometer allowance ($0.70/km in 2024).

To participate as a passenger
1.  Download the Seneca Rideshare app – Available both Apple App and Google Play Stores, or visit the website.
2. Login using your Seneca email and password and complete the identity verification steps.

3. Complete your profile by adding your contact information and payment method.  

4. Enter your pickup location and destination

5. Enter your Ride type 

4. Find an available driver and pay for the ride

5. To Post a Trip, add your Start Location, Campus Address, Dates, Time, and seats available 

6. Once a driver accepts your request, review the driver's details including name, vehicle type and plate number.

7. Payment: At the end of the ride, the fare is automatically charged to your saved payment method.  You may also add an optional tip if you like.

6. After your ride please rate your driver and provide feedback about your ride experience.
