Fees vary by campus

The Seneca Student Federation (SSF) provides services, resources, discounts and activities that benefit and meet the needs of Seneca students in a fiscally responsible manner within a learning environment. From on-campus programs to off-campus trips and activities, the SSF strives to make student life better, primarily through advocating for student rights.

Optional charge once per term.

The total fee is distributed as follows:

King, Markham, Newnham and Seneca@York campuses

• SSF Services (King and Newnham campuses)
  • Provides access to tax clinic, legal aid, training programs such as CPR and mental health first aid, volunteering opportunities and student handbook
• SSF Activities
  • Supports programming and activities on and off campus, including pub nights, International Days, as well as orientation and awareness programs
• SSF Leadership Awards
  • Supports the Seneca Student Development Grant as well as other SSF-funded student awards, including the Campaign for Students Bursary
• SSF Governance
  • Supports the election of student council on campus to advocate, appeal and navigate academic policies and procedures, internal student representation and participation on Seneca committees, including Academic College Council, Academic Appeals Assessment Committee, Student Conduct Appeals, Ancillary Fees Protocol Committee, Residence Advisory Committee, Education Technology Advisory Committee, Sexual Assault and Sexual Violence Policy and Education Advisory, Cannabis Student Advisory, Dining Services Advisory Committee
• SSF Clubs Associations
  • Supports the funding and operations of clubs/associations on campus, ranging from academic, athletics and recreation, community service, culture and identities, food, hobby and leisure, spiritual and faith, varsity and more
• SSF Food Banks Meal Support
  • Supports the funding and operations of the SSF Food Bank and SSF-funded meal programs on campus

Peterborough Campus

• SSF Activities
  • Provides representation through a new SSF Aviation Student Liaison to support activities on campus, including barbecues, SSF give-aways and the year end graduation dinner
• SSF Governance
  • Supports the election of the SSF President and the SSF Board of Directors to advocate, appeal and navigate academic policies and procedures, internal student representation and participation on Seneca committees

Yorkgate Campus
