Important: Payments made at a Canadian financial institution can take up to five business days to be processed. Online payments can take up to 24 business hours to be processed. Payment can be confirmed in Student Home.

Late Penalty Fee

Fees are due by the first day of classes in the term. Seneca reserves the right to withhold services if fees are not paid by the due date.

A late fee (penalty) of $150 will be applied after the last day to drop courses without receiving a grade and with a refund. A second late fee (penalty) of $150 will be applied if the outstanding balance is still not cleared in the same term.

Tuition Deposit Payments

Tuition Deposit for Domestic Students 

All domestic students must pay a non-refundable deposit of $200 once in an academic year (September to August). The deposit is required to hold your seat in the program and build your class schedule. Please note that full fees for the term are due on the first day of classes. OSAP Applicants 

If you have applied for student loans through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), you must still pay the non-refundable enrolment deposit of $200 to be eligible to enrol in classes. You must first enrol in classes in order to receive OSAP funding. 

Tuition Deposit for New International Students 

All international students starting their first term or a current international student beginning a new program must pay a $2,000 tuition deposit no later than the due date noted on the fee notice.  

To download a copy of your official payment receipt for your study permit application, log into Student Home, and follow the instructions found on the Seneca International website. 

Tuition Deposit for Continuing or Returning International Students  

If you are an international student continuing or returning in your same program of study, or are beginning a new program after completing your first Seneca credential, you must pay a non-refundable deposit of $2,000 for your first term in the academic year (September to August) to be eligible to enrol in classes. Please note that full fees for the term are due on the first day of classes. View fees due dates for more information. 

Payment Methods

Credit or Debit Card Payment 

To submit payment using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or debit card (including Visa/MasterCard Debit), please use one of the methods below.  Beginning on July 6, 2026, the third-party payment processor will be charging a 2.5 per cent non-refundable convenience fee for credit card transactions and a 1.5 per cent convenience fee for debit card transactions. 

• Through Student Home:
  • Log into your Student Home. 
  • Select the "Financial Account" tile. 
  • Choose "Make a Payment"
  • If you are a domestic student, enter an amount of $200.
  • If you are an international student, enter an amount of $2,000.
• Via Online Banking: Using your online banking platform, set up Seneca on your list of “payees.” Your account number is your nine-digit Seneca student ID number.
• At a Canadian Financial Institution: You can process payment in person at your financial institution with a teller or at a bank machine. Bring your nine-digit Seneca student ID number. For your records, be sure to have the teller stamp your invoice, or retain a copy of the transaction slip.

Payment Options for International Students 

To protect yourself and ensure your tuition payments are completed safely and securely, all tuition and fee payments should be made directly through Seneca’s authorized payment channels.

Your Seneca ID number (found on your Offer of Admission Letter) must be included on any form of payment made to Seneca.

Seneca will never request that you send payment to an individual or third party or ask you to use an unauthorized payment method. Learn more about Seneca’s authorized payment methods.

CIBC International Student Pay 

Seneca has partnered with CIBC International Student Pay to process the payment of tuition and fees through its international payment portal. The portal allows you to conveniently make payments in your currency and benefit from preferred currency exchange rates provided by CIBC. You can easily track payments online and receive ongoing status updates until payment is complete. 

How to Make a Payment using CIBC International Student Pay

Flywire 

Seneca has partnered with Flywire to provide our international students with a secure payment method that simplifies the payment process. With Flywire, you can pay online from banks and countries around the world, usually in your home currency. It allows you to: 

• pay with accounts in your home country, in your currency for most countries 

• use payment methods like bank transfer, credit cards and e-payments (Alipay/PayPal)  

• avoid unnecessary bank fees and receive favourable foreign exchange rates 

• track the progress of your payment anytime and access multilingual customer support 24-7 using multiple channels 

How to Make a Payment using Flywire  

1. Get started: visit the Seneca Flywire payment site and select the country of origin and amount you want to pay 

2. Select payment method: review the payment options provided and select your preferred method; options may include bank transfer, debit/credit card in your home currency, electronic payment or other local options 

3. Enter your details: enter some basic information to initiate your payment; we will include this information with your payment for easy identification by your institution 

4. Make your payment: follow the instructions provided to send funds to Flywire via your selected method: 

1. 1. Bank transfer: follow the instructions provided to send your funds; depending on your bank, payment may be made online, in person or over the phone
   2. Debit/credit card: enter your card details online to complete your payment in your home currency

5. Track and confirm: receive email and text updates each step of the way, including a confirmation when your payment has been delivered; you can also create a Flywire account to track your payment online 24/7 

Convera GlobalPay 

With Convera GlobalPay for International Students you can pay international fees: 

• by bank transfer or online payment options in your local currency  

• using convenient payment methods  

• on a multi-language platform: French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Indonesian, English, Spanish, Hindi, Japanese and Arabic 

How to Make a Payment using Convera GlobalPay 

1. To get started, please proceed to the Seneca portal on the Convera GlobalPay for International Students website.   

2. Select the country you are paying from and the amount you want to pay. 

3. Choose your preferred method of payment. 

4. Enter your payment and payor details. 

5. Process the payment. 

If you pay using bank transfer: make the payment using the payment instructions generated through your bank online, at a branch or by phone. For bank transfer to China, you will be redirected to the Geoswift website. 

If you pay using online options: at the end of the process, you will be redirected to the partner website: ChinaPay, Geoswift, Alipay, UnionPay, Trustly, Sofort, etc. 

Fee Payments for Part-time Studies

Part-time Studies Registration Options

Important note for part-time students of Practical Nursing (PND-C): 

New PND-C students starting their first term in Winter 2026 and onwards must pay a non-refundable deposit of $200 once in an academic year. The deposit is required to hold your seat in the program and build your class schedule. The remaining balance of your first term is due on the first day of classes. If you register for a course after the first day of classes, fees must be paid upon enrolment.

For all other part-time programs and courses, please follow the steps below to register and pay.

How to Register for Part-Time Studies

1. Browse part-time offerings: Explore our part-time programs and courses and select your program or course of interest.
2. Select courses: On the program’s overview page, click on the specific course(s) you wish to enrol in. Then, click the “Register” button next to each course to add it to your cart. If a course is not available for the term, click the “Notify me” button to be alerted once it is available for registration at a later date.
3. Check out: Click the “Check Out” button on the left side of the screen.
4. Complete registration: Click “New to Seneca” or “Current/Returning Student” and follow the on-screen instructions to finalize your registration. The accepted forms of payment are credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or debit card (including Visa/MasterCard Debit).*
