It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Florevic Malapit, an international student from the Philippines. Florevic was both a graduate of the Nursing Leadership Management program and a current student in the Chronic Disease Management program with the INSCOL partnership program.
From the very beginning of Florevic’s journey with Seneca, she stood out as a go-getter who was determined, passionate and a true leader. She inspired everyone she encountered with her resilience, grace and unwavering commitment to her dream of becoming a nurse in Canada.
Florevic will be fondly remembered by professors and classmates as a student that was deeply engaged in class, always present, and providing thoughtful feedback while always looking for ways to make things better for all those who would come after her.
Her presence was truly effervescent and she brought light, joy, and a sense of purpose into every room she entered. Florevic will be deeply missed by her classmates, professors, family and friends, but her strength and spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
Please join me in offering condolences to the Bajaro and Malapit families, and to those who knew Florevic.
The funeral service details can be found at the Highland Funeral home website
Seneca will be lowering its flags to half-mast from sunrise until sunset on Monday, April 28, 2025 to honour Florevic.
