Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has provided an update on study permits (or student visas) and Post-Graduate Work Permits (PGWPs) for international students on Jan. 22, 2024. The update included announcements of a temporary intake cap on international student permit applications for a period of two years, a new requirement of a provincial attestation letter for study permit applications and changes to the Post-Graduate Work Permit program.
