Enrolment and Timetable Support

To build your schedule, log in to your Student Home, select the Manage Classes tile, then select Build Schedule.

Resources, such as tip sheets and videos for scheduling assistance, are available online.

If you need help or have questions, a series of webinars are being held to support you with building your schedule. These sessions take place in Eastern Time (EST) in the Student Life WebEx room.

To register for webinars, choose your preferred date and complete the registration form.

Student Advising: Schedule Building Workshops

Discover how to enroll in your courses and get expert tips on building your Winter 2025 class schedule with guidance from the Student Advising team. Break-out sessions will be provided for detailed information on program-specific enrolment.

COM 101 versus COM 111

Do you have questions about the COM 101 and COM 111 communications courses? Join this session to understand the difference between the COM courses and how your placement is determined.

During the open enrolment period for your term, you can see which COM class you need to take by doing the following:

    1. Log in to Student Home.
    2. Select Manage Classes and then Build Schedule to open the Visual Schedule Builder. Learn how to use the Visual Schedule Builder.
    3. Select My Requirements to view the courses you need to take.

    Refer to the Enrolling in COM or MATH courses tip sheet for more detailed information on how to add these to your schedule.

    International Student Support

    Social Insurance Number (SIN) Clinics

    To legally work in Canada, you need a nine-digit Social Insurance Number (SIN) issued by Service Canada.

    At the beginning of each term, Seneca Polytechnic invites Service Canada to come to each campus to issue a SIN on the spot.

    To guarantee an appointment time, International students must register for a specific time slot and bring their original and valid documents listed below to their appointment:

    • A study permit issued by IRCC or CIC which indicates the permit holder “may accept employment or “may work” in Canada.
    • A passport

    Visit the Government of Canada website to view a list of acceptable documents

    Check back for registration information as details are finalized. 

    Immigration Advisement

    Connect with an immigration specialist and ask questions about the temporary resident documents that are required to study at Seneca, including, but not limited to:

    • Study permits
    • Visas
    • Work permits
    • Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility
