The Immigration and Refugee (IR) Club is an ongoing, informal, student-driven group designed to provide a welcoming, extracurricular environment where students can connect beyond the traditional curriculum and classroom setting. The club aims to build an inclusive community for both first- and second-year students, offering a space & opportunities to interact, discuss topics of interest, exchange ideas, share knowledge, and explore complex issues. Additionally, the IR club will facilitate workshops, activities and events on topics of common interest that matter to you, all while promoting a fun and engaging atmosphere. As a student-led group, members will decide on workshop topics and activities. Additionally, participation in extracurricular activities always looks good on a resume as it demonstrates that you have passion for the issues and are deepening your employability skill sets.
