The end of the winter term can feel like a lot, but it’s also a good moment to pause and recognize how much you’ve done
Student life can be exciting and fun, but it can also feel overwhelming at times. Balancing assignments, deadlines, classes, exams, work, and personal responsibilities can sometimes lead to anxious feelings. If you have been feeling this way, you are not alone.
International Women’s Day always makes me stop and think about the women who’ve shaped my life. It gives me a reason to pause, look around, and think about each one of them. A parent, a sibling, a friend, a professor, a coach, a supervisor, a mentor, or someone who simply showed up for me when it mattered. It’s also a day to celebrate women’s achievements and to keep the conversation going about equity, respect and opportunity in our communities, including on campus.
A new winter term is here, and with it comes the usual mix of excitement, stress, and “okay… where do I start?” energy. If you’re looking for a space on campus that feels warm, real, and low-pressure, the Peer-to-Peer Student Lounge at Newnham, King and Seneca@York campus is here for you.
