Why Should I Attend the Seneca Student Leadership Conference? 

Students will have the chance to learn and practice new concepts and skills in an inclusive and educational learning environment that fosters and advocates peer-to-peer connection and co-learning. 

By attending, you will: 

• Gain valuable leadership knowledge, skills, and experiences to enhance your leadership practice
• Connect virtually with Seneca staff and peers that make up the Seneca community
• Know your leadership identity (style, values and authentic strength)
• Articulate your vision (a compelling personal leadership vision statement)
• Build Strategic Connections (intentional networking beyond surface-level)
• Design Your action plan (a concrete 90-day road map with milestones)
• Deepen Self-Awareness (honest reflection on growth edges and next challenges)
• Have the opportunity to obtain a record of participation by completing a reflection exercise about the conference and your key learning

Can I obtain recognition for attending this event? 

Yes. Conference participants will have the chance to be recognized for their engagement in the conference by receiving a Recognition of Conference Attendance. It will be earned by registering with and participating in the entire conference and completing a reflection exercise. Reflection exercises will be shared with attendees one week after the conference and designed to assess learning. 

1. Register and attend the Seneca Student Leadership Conference
2. Apply for the Recognition of Conference Attendance by completing the online reflection exercise
3. Await approval by a Student Life administrator
4. Share your Recognition of Conference Attendance digitally or print it to showcase your achievement(s)! 

Will the Conference be in-person or online? 

The Seneca Student Leadership Conference is a virtual experience. 

Will the conference be recorded? 

The conference will be recorded. 

Do I need to register for the Leadership Conference?

Yes. Students must register for the conference using the registration link.
