Outbound Semester Exchange

Did you know Osaka is considered the "Kitchen of Japan"? The city is well-known for its exceptional street food, including iconic dishes such as takoyaki (octopus balls) and okonomiyaki (savoury pancakes). Osaka is also renowned for many historical attractions such as Osaka Castle.

Spend a semester abroad at Kansai University to immerse yourself in Japanese culture and the country's beauty while gaining academic credits toward your Seneca program.

Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies-(INS) students have an opportunity to study for a semester at Kansai University in Winter 2025.

  • Acceptance Date: TBD
  • Pre-Departure Orientation: Approx. 2 months pre-trip
  • Return Debrief: Approx. 1 month post-trip

+Eligibility Requirements

  • Full-time students enrolled in Honours Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies-(INS) who will be in semester 6 or 7 in Winter 2025
  • Have a minimum program GPA of 2.5 and be in good academic standing
  • Open to domestic and international students

+Fees and Funding

Program fee

Regular tuition is payable to Seneca.

Participating students will be responsible for applicable visa fees, travel and living expenses while on semester exchange.

Funding
Seneca provides up to $2,500 in funding to accepted students to offset the costs of a Semester Exchange.

Funding is awarded automatically upon application. No additional funding application is required.

If cancellation or termination occurs, we will refund any payments you have made and withdraw any disbursed grants. Participants may encounter additional and unexpected financial and academic implications. Seneca will work to mitigate negative implications to the best of its ability. 

International Students are required to meet with an immigration specialist to ensure their program of study and/or study permit will not be negatively impacted by travelling abroad.
