Mental Health & Well-being Supports

Your health and well being shape your experience at Seneca and influence your ability to succeed, personally and academically. Recognizing that well being is multi-dimensional, our supports embrace mental, emotional and physical health, as well as personal safety. Whether you're navigating stress, seeking emotional support, focusing on physical health, or exploring wellness strategies, our resources provide confidential, compassionate and accessible care tailored to diverse student experiences.

Food Access +

Seneca Soup Program
The Seneca Soup Program offers free soup to any full- or part-time student in need. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available, and soup is prepared fresh daily. Check out the page to learn more details on signing up.

SSF Food Bank
The food bank is set up by Seneca Student Federation for full-time Seneca students in need of food bank support. Students must register in advance to pick up the food hamper. Check out the page to learn more details on registering.

Mental Health +

Counselling Services
Counselling Services provides confidential support from professional counsellors for students. They are available Monday to Friday at all campuses. They offer one-time sessions, ongoing counselling, urgent support, and skills-based groups. They can also assist students with connections to resources and providing accommodations as needed.

Physical Health +

Athletics & Recreation
Seneca Athletics & Recreation offers programming and locations that span across all three campuses. o Newnham: fitness classes, drop-in intramural league, Bee League, a fitness centre and field. o Seneca@York: fitness classes, drop-in intramural league, BeeLeague, a fitness centre and gymnasium. o King: fitness classes, drop-in intramural league, Bee League, a fitness centre, gymnasium, climbing wall and bike share program.

Medical Centre
The Seneca Medical Centre is located at Newnham Campus and has a team of registered nurses and medical doctors. It provides a wide range of health services including appointments, walk-ins, prescriptions and flu vaccines to current Seneca students living away from home.

Safety & Consent +

Consent@Seneca
The Consent@Seneca team works to equip and empower students with the tools to build a culture of consent on and off campus. The space offers information on resources for survivors and those supporting them, sexual violence prevention, and more around consent and healthy relationships.
