Accommodations at Seneca Polytechnic!

Accessible Learning Services is dedicated to supporting students with disabilities, providing accommodations and resources to ensure equitable access to education. We aim to create an inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically and personally.

Accessible Learning Services is part of the broader Student Services at Seneca Polytechnic, which is dedicated to student health, well-being, and academic success. We provide support, resources, and accommodations to help students overcome barriers and engage fully in their educational experience.

Students First!

  • Student-Centered Support: We focus on the student experience by offering comprehensive services that the needs of students with disabilities. We are dedicated to understanding how multiple, intersecting identities influence student experiences, and we actively listen to feedback to improve our services.
  • Language and Identity: We acknowledge that individuals may have different preferences regarding how their identity is described. While we use "students with disabilities", we recognize that some students prefer "disabled student". We respect these preferences and encourage open dialogue about language choices.

Community and Belonging!

  • Building a Community of Belonging: We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students with disabilities feel supported, valued, and connected to a community of peers. We believe that building a sense of belonging is essential for academic success and personal growth.

We work collaboratively to ensure our services meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities and that we create a supportive, accessible environment.
